The short version: Sealed is a seasonal letter exchange between adults.
You pay once per run, only after we've found someone worth introducing you to. Be decent to the stranger across from you. Your letters are yours.

Who you're dealing with
Sealed (sealed.red) is operated by Sixtyfive Security Systems Ltd, Chrysi Dimitriadi, 5, 3106 Limassol, Republic of Cyprus.

What Sealed is — and isn't
Sealed matches you with one stranger going through the same chapter of life for an eight-week correspondence with a finale.
It is not a dating service.
It is not therapy, medical care, or crisis support.
If you need professional or urgent support, our resources page is a better place to start. Sealed is not a substitute for it.
Who can join
Adults only — you must be 18 or older.
Sealed correspondence is written in English. We don't match by language yet, so if you take part, expect to write and read in English.
You may tell us about more than one chapter of life. That lets us look for a good match in more than one pool, but you take part in only one Sealed correspondence per run unless we explicitly agree otherwise.
When a chapter has enough people, we may invite you to write a first letter. Applications are reviewed by a human and we may accept or decline an application at our discretion.
A decline is not a judgment of you or your writing.
Finding your person
We do not promise that everyone who joins the interest list will receive a match.
If we think two people may work well together, we send each person an introduction explaining why you two.
A pair exists only when both people confirm.
We would rather leave someone unmatched than make a bad match just to fill a seat.
Money
Telling us your chapters and writing your first application letter is free.
A paid run costs the price shown before you confirm — $39 for the first run — once, with no subscription.
The full amount, including any tax we are required to collect, is shown before you confirm payment.
When you confirm, Stripe may verify your payment method or place a temporary authorisation on it.
We charge you only after both people confirm the match.
If a temporary card authorisation expires before the pair is confirmed, we may ask you to confirm your payment method again.
If no pair is confirmed, Sealed does not keep a season payment from you.
The guarantee
If your person goes quiet during the first two weeks, we will try to find you a suitable replacement within the same run.
We treat someone as having gone quiet when they miss a scheduled letter and do not respond to our follow-up.
If we cannot find a suitable replacement, or if your person disappears later in the season, your next eligible Sealed run is on us.
After the first two weeks, we only offer a mid-season replacement if you ask for one and a suitable participant is available.
A participant who abandons the season without good reason may lose their payment and priority for future runs.
Rules of the season
Before the finale, do not put names, personal contact details, social handles, or external links into your letters.
Do not harass, threaten, demean, or target your partner with hate or unwanted sexual advances or explicit sexual content.
Do not use Sealed for fraud, coercion, illegal activity, or attempts to move someone off-platform before the finale.
Write your letters yourself. Using AI to write or substantially rewrite a letter defeats the point of Sealed. Ordinary tools — a spellchecker, a dictionary — are fine; handing the writing itself to a generator is not.
Talking honestly about your own life — including sex, health, relationships, politics, religion, or other difficult subjects — is not automatically against the rules. The line is how you treat the person reading it.
Reports are reviewed by a human. We aim to review safety reports within 24 hours.
Breaking the rules may end your season without a refund. When appropriate, your partner receives the guarantee described above.
Your letters
Copyright in the letters you write stays with you.
You give us only the licence we need to store them, deliver them to your partner, display them back to you, and review reported content when necessary to operate or protect the service.
A letter appears in the public archive only if both people explicitly approve that specific letter.
Archive letters appear without names or contact details.
You can withdraw your approval later, and we will remove the letter from the public archive.
Your partner owns the letters they wrote. Do not publish, repost, screenshot publicly, or otherwise distribute their letters outside Sealed without their permission.
The finale
The finale happens in two layers.
If both people finish the season and complete their identity cards, the seal breaks and each person sees the other's first name, age, and city.
Contact details open only if both people choose continue.
If that choice is not mutual, Sealed does not send a rejection notice. The season simply ends there.
What happens after contacts open is between the two of you. If you decide to meet, use the ordinary care you would use when meeting someone from the internet for the first time.
Refunds
Before a pair is confirmed and charged, there is no season payment to refund.
After a season starts, payments are generally non-refundable except where the Sealed guarantee applies or applicable law gives you additional rights.
EEA consumers and the right to withdraw
If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area, you may have a statutory right to withdraw from an online service contract within 14 days of entering into it.
If you ask Sealed to begin providing the paid service during that 14-day period and later exercise your right to withdraw, we may charge the proportionate amount permitted by applicable law for services already provided.
Where this right applies, Sealed provides an online way to exercise it as well as the option to contact us at letters@sealed.red.
Nothing in these Terms limits consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.
What we do not guarantee
We choose matches carefully, but we cannot guarantee compatibility, friendship, chemistry, the quality or length of another person's letters, or that either of you will want to continue after the finale.
Sealed creates the introduction and the structure around it.
The two people create the correspondence.
Liability
Sealed is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from a run is limited to the amount you paid for that run.
We are not responsible for independent actions taken by participants outside the Sealed service or for information a participant voluntarily chooses to share after contact details open.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Ending an account
You may delete your account at any time.
Deleting your account removes the letters and voice notes you authored from Sealed, including the copies shown to your partner, subject to the limited legal and safety exceptions described in the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms or creates a serious safety risk.
Law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus.
If you are a consumer, this does not take away any mandatory rights, remedies, or jurisdiction protections you have under the laws that apply to you.
Changes
If we materially change these Terms, we'll tell you before the change takes effect.
Material changes will normally apply to future runs, not a paid run already in progress, unless a change is required by law or reasonably necessary for safety or security.
Continuing into a future run after the updated Terms take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
