Washington Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice
last updated: august 21, 2026
This notice applies to Washington residents and supplements our Privacy Policy. It describes how Sealed handles information that may qualify as consumer health data under Washington's My Health My Data Act.
What consumer health data we may collect
Sealed does not ask for health information. The only health-related information we may hold is what you choose to write in your letters or in the optional matching note — for example, if you mention a diagnosis, treatment, pregnancy, or mental health in your own words.
We collect it only by receiving and storing the correspondence you create, so we can deliver it to your partner.
How we use it
Solely to store and deliver your correspondence, display it back to you, and review reported content when a safety report is made. Never for advertising, profiling, or sale.
Who can access it
- Your partner — because you wrote it to them.
- Our infrastructure providers (Supabase, Vercel, Resend, Stripe) — only as needed to run the service.
- An authorised person reviewing a safety report — access is logged.
We do not sell consumer health data and do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the consumer health data we hold about you;
- Withdraw consent for its processing;
- Delete it — deleting your account at sealed.red/account/delete removes the letters you wrote, or write to us for a specific request.
To exercise any of these rights, email letters@sealed.red. We will respond within the time required by law. If we refuse a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision; if the appeal is unsuccessful, you may contact the Washington State Attorney General at atg.wa.gov.
Changes
If this notice materially changes, we'll tell you before the change takes effect.
